Charlie is a great teacher. He makes hard pieces easy to learn. In just 1.5 years of lessons, he helped me excel. Being selected as one of only three alto sax players to the Minnesota State Honor Band as a sixth grader is just one of many ways Charlie has influenced my playing.

Charlie has been my son's saxophone teacher for the last two years and he will not take lessons from anybody else. He loves taking classes with Charlie as he is very approachable, laid back, and communicates very well with kids. Charlie is very knowledgeable and has helped him understand the instrument and advance faster in his saxophone playing skills, providing him with greater confidence. As a parent, this is great to see. We also appreciate very much Charlie's guidance, patience and flexibility. He is great to work with!

Charlie has been a great instructor for our daughter. He effectively teaches the fundamentals while still providing challenging and fun lessons. With Charlie's guidance our daughter has significantly progressed on the alto saxophone, despite all of the challenges posed by distance learning and the pandemic. He is also great to work with as a parent, being very flexible and accommodating when schedule changes arise.
